What You Need to Know About Indian & Cowboy
-
We are 100% Indigenous owned and operated. Our core team is Indigenous-led, and many of our productions are created by, with, and for Indigenous communities.
But.
We tell stories, period.
While our roots and leadership are Indigenous, our curiosity is universal. We are motivated by the nuanced, the complex, and the surprising. We look for narratives that find the humor and humanity in the unexpected, aiming to inspire, question, and transform the world around us.
-
We work with industry, community, and socially responsible companies and corporations to elevate stories that matter.
Our collaborators range from grassroots organizers and Indigenous communities to national broadcasters, global streamers, and foundations. We partner with those who value high-integrity storytelling who believe narrative storytelling has the power to change the world. -
Yes. We are a vertically integrated studio providing full-stack production and post-production services.
We combine cinema-grade infrastructure with a systemized workflow to deliver premium results across audio, digital, and film platforms for all of our partners, big and small.
-
We follow an Indigenous production methodology that places the relationship at the center of the workflow. By prioritizing spirit and intention over profit or personal goals, we ensure the speed and scope of our work are always aligned with the project’s true purpose.
This commitment, combined with our production sovereignty—owning our tools, data, and process—ensures our partners know our intentions are clear and good, and that every story is protected and told on its own terms.
-
We’re always open to hearing from writers, filmmakers, podcasters, and community partners. If you have a story idea or want to explore a collaboration, please visit our contact page and fill out the submission form. We prioritize stories that align with our values: community-informed, forward-looking, and rooted in Indigenous experiences.
-
We occasionally post job openings and internships when capacity allows. We prioritize Indigenous candidates and those from equity-seeking groups. Keep an eye on our newsletter or Substack for announcements—or reach out via our Contact page to introduce yourself.
Our Project Slate
Indian & Cowboy Creative is in formal development on a 2026-2027 slate for global broadcast and streaming platforms.
Our process is led by a 'podcast-first' strategy, utilizing audio as an incubator for original Indigenous stories. By proving our narratives in the audio space first, we develop narrative-rich IP that is audience-tested and ready to scale into limitless digital and broadcast media.
