NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS

At Indian & Cowboy, we’ve built something rare in the Indigenous media landscape: a fully integrated studio model. Instead of siloed operations that treat audio, film, digital, and educational storytelling as separate ventures, our model weaves them together under one vision. Each studio — Original, Creative, Educational, Digital, and Live — operates as its own unit, but feeds the others, creating a cycle of innovation, impact, and sustainability.

INTRODUCING:

Our world-class, integrated storytelling studios.

Indian & Cowboy Original.

Telling Indigenous stories the way they were meant to be told.

Our Original’s slate is remarkable and is ready to shake the industry to its core with unflinching Indigenous stories.

The Indian & Cowboy Originals Unit is our broadcast and industry-facing production company that creates, develops, and produces Indigenous stories across all platforms.

Indian & Cowboy Creative.

A new way to share corporate, community, and client based story.

We are never going to put your CEO in a chair and ask him to tell the world how great your company is. Instead, we are going to use our world-class storytelling chops to find out what sets you apart from others, and then develop a way to share that with the world.

The Indian & Cowboy Creative Unit offers corporate video and media production services on a contract basis.

Whether it is branded content, strategic messaging, platform building, or investigative unscripted partnerships, community, and story is at the centre of all we do.

Indian & Cowboy Digital.

Creating an online community space of discovery, resilience, and beauty, one story at a time.

We're not building another content mill or chasing viral moments. Instead, we're creating a digital ecosystem where Indigenous voices—journalists, archivists, writers, researchers, and independent creatives—collaborate to tell stories that matter.

Powered by Substack, YouTube, Apple, and Spotify, Indian & Cowboy Digital amplifies regional stories and niche interests for audiences who crave depth over trends. The best part? IP developed here feeds directly into our Originals unit, taking local stories to mainstream broadcast audiences worldwide.

Indian & Cowboy live.

Nothing builds community better than getting in the same room and sharing experiences, debate, food, and laughter.

Podcasts become performances. Documentaries spark debate. Communities gather to imagine new futures—in real time.

Indian & Cowboy Live brings stories off the screen and into the room. We create events, pop-up salons, speaking tours, and festival experiences that connect audiences directly with Indigenous voices. These aren't passive viewing experiences—they're gatherings where dialogue, laughter, food, and storytelling happen face-to-face.

For us, LIVE isn't an afterthought. It's a core way to build relationships, amplify impact, and remind audiences that Indigenous storytelling is a living, breathing tradition.

Indian & Cowboy Education.

Rebuilding communities through the heart work of decolonization and Indigenous nationhood.

Too many institutions use "decolonization" and "reconciliation" interchangeably. They're not. Indian & Cowboy Education delivers the clarity that educators, organizations, and communities need to move beyond buzzwords and toward values-based action rooted in Indigenous truth.

Our platform collaborates with Indigenous communities, educators, and curriculum designers to create media-rich modules and interactive storytelling experiences.

Licensed to universities, K-12 schools, corporate clients, non-profits, and municipal governments, we guide learners to understand decolonization and reconciliation on their own terms—with intention, nuance, and community-driven knowledge at the centre.

How we got here.

  • Indian & Cowboy launched in 2014 as a grassroots, member-supported Indigenous podcast platform dedicated to empowering creators and communities. We dreamed big, envisioning a space for Indigenous podcasts, writing, video, food, music, and culture. But scaling the project proved challenging, and the momentum we built came to a halt during the pandemic.

We took some time and space away from producing to identify where our place was in the Indigenous content, publishing, and production space.

    And now, we’re back.

  • With a renewed focus and bold new projects, Indian & Cowboy Creative Media Inc. is back to finish what we started. We’re creating and sharing Indigenous stories that are nuanced, complex, and unapologetically rooted in Indigenous truths. Our mission remains the same: to share Indigenous stories with worldwide audiences.

  • Indian & Cowboy Creative Media Inc. develops, creates, and publishes Indigenous stories for worldwide audiences.

We are currently in development with industry partners, broadcasters, and Indigenous producers worldwide.

    Scripted. Unscripted. Podcasts. Feature films.

    Indigenous stories, everywhere.

never miss a story.

We publish our work digitally via Substack. Join our memership program and never miss a story from Indian & Cowboy Creative.
