We are an Indigenous media company firmly rooted at the intersection of storytelling, culture and community.
#IndigenousStoriesEverywhere
How we got here.
-
Indian & Cowboy launched in 2014 as a grassroots, member-supported Indigenous podcast platform dedicated to empowering creators and communities. We dreamed big, envisioning a space for Indigenous podcasts, writing, video, food, music, and culture. But scaling the project proved challenging, and the momentum we built came to a halt during the pandemic.
We took some time and space away from producing to identify where our place was in the Indigenous content, publishing, and production space.
And now, we’re back.
-
With a renewed focus and bold new projects, Indian & Cowboy Creative Media Inc. is back to finish what we started. We’re creating and sharing Indigenous stories that are nuanced, complex, and unapologetically rooted in Indigenous truths. Our mission remains the same: to share Indigenous stories with worldwide audiences.
-
Indian & Cowboy Creative Media Inc. develops, creates, and publishes Indigenous stories for worldwide audiences.
We are currently in development with industry partners, broadcasters, and Indigenous producers worldwide.
Scripted. Unscripted. Podcasts. Feature films.
Indigenous stories, everywhere.
“John Wayne is dead. These are our stories.”

INTRODUCING:
Our world-class storytelling units.
Indian & Cowboy Originals.
The Indian & Cowboy Originals Unit is our broadcast and industry-facing production company that creates, develops, and produces Indigenous stories across all platforms. Occasional pilots, sizzles, and other behind-the-scenes footage will premiere as “Premium Content” on our proprietary platform, allowing us to test and measure audience engagement during the pilot phase. This approach helps us grow sustainable Indigenous-led media while showcasing bold, original storytelling rooted in our communities.
Indian & Cowboy Creative.
The Indian & Cowboy Creative Unit offers corporate video and media production services on a contract basis. These focused, time-limited projects help us generate capital to reinvest in our Indigenous-led platforms and original content development. By working with us, you're supporting a movement that centres Indigenous storytelling while meeting your organization’s media needs with creativity, care, and cultural integrity. We are master storytellers, let us help you tell your story to the world.
Indian & Cowboy Digitals.
Indian & Cowboy Digital will be responsible for Indian & Cowboy's digital platform offerings. Indian & Cowboy Digital is powered on Substack, Youtube, Apple, Spotify. Our digital units collaborate with independent creatives, journalists, archivists, writers, and researchers to publish content across various platforms. These dynamic and groundbreaking partnerships create projects aimed at regional and territorial audiences to amplify local stories and niche interests. We endeavour to find ways to further develop the IP from this work into our Originals unit for development into the mainstream broadcast world.
Indian & Cowboy Education.
The Indian & Cowboy Educational Unit collaborates with Indigenous communities, educators, and curriculum designers to deliver a paywalled platform tailored for diverse audiences looking for leading Indigenous voices working toward decolonization and reconciliation. This platform will be licensed to corporate clients, universities, colleges, high schools, grade schools, non-profit organizations, municipal governments, and individual users for public-facing educational use.
